Long-distance Caregiving Made Easy

Long-distance caregiving is so difficult because you’re just not there in the present moment to see and hear what is really happening. It creates even more stress of caring for a parent or loved-one because you’re not in the same location meeting with their care team and seeing things in real time.  Getting news second hand or from your already stressed out loved ones that are aging can be make caregiving from a distance even more challenging.

Please don’t feel guilty or make things harder for yourself. We cannot always be in the same location as our aging parents because of our own lives.  There is help in your situation and you just need to do some planning. You’ll need to do some research and get things set up as you start the process of long-distance caregiving.  Then you’ll have to make adjustments as you continue, but I assure you, that you can make it easier for all parties.  You can make it through caregiving from a distance and learn so much about yourself.
